Prolab Instruments has released a new software interface for its Zirconium Nano-UHPLC pump series for use in chromatography data systems from various vendors. This was requested by many users, and adds to the flexibility of LC system integration.
The new driver, developed by our software experts at Nemec Automation, makes use of Agilent Technologies’ RapidControl.net technology. This emerging industry standard allows instrument vendors to integrate their instruments with Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) which implement Agilent’s Instrument Control Framework (ICF), Versions A.02.03 or A.02.04. The first CDS that have been validated and licensed for use with the new Zirconium RapidControl.net driver are Agilent OpenLab CDS 2, Sciex Analyst 1.6, Thermo Dionex Chromeleon 7, and Bruker Compass HyStar 4.
The Zirconium Nano-UHPLC system can already be used with autosamplers, detectors and mass spectrometers from all vendors, given its ability to synchronize via standard programmable input and output contacts. The new software integration with CDS merely improves the convenience by loading the HPLC method directly out of the master sample list.
We plan to add software support for other data systems in the future. Please contact us if you are interested in using the Zirconium Nano-UHPLC system with your specific CDS.
