The SDU 2004 four channel solvent degasser is
a robust and well established apparatus to do HPLC
analysis in isocratic as well as in gradient mode.
Considering the small dead volume it is easy to do
excellent degassing up to flowrates of 3 ml/min per
channel. Obviously the SDU 2004 can be used at
higher flowrates (up to 10 ml/min per channel),
however the quality of degassing is decreasing at
high flow rates.
Getting constant retention times in HPLC analysis,
it is necessary to be independent from room temperature.
For that, Prolab / LabSource develloped the Pelcooler
column thermostate ( 4°C - 62°C). In regard to the
peltiersystem, the Pelcooler enables exact temperature
regulation at ambient temperature too.
